                        1. Arrive early. We encourage you to arrive thirty minutes before the first speaker sessions begin. This will give you a chance to converse and network with an audience stacked with clever and inspiring people.
                        2. Clear your calendar. No, really. To help you get the most out of TEDxGuelphU, we ask that you lend us your brain. Ignore your email. Switch off your phone.  TEDx is an immersive experience, and you won’t want to miss a moment.
                        3. Talk to strangers. TEDxGuelphU is teeming with amazing people. Most speakers stay during the run of the event, and the attendees are every bit as extraordinary. As a result, chance encounters at TEDxGuelphU often lead to new ideas, projects, perspectives, companies. Mingling is as essential to the experience as the stage program itself.
                        4. Don’t miss a thing. Watch every session. Go to every event. The best TEDx moments happen when you least expect them. It’s often the unknown speakers who wow the crowd. Social events, too, are there for a reason.
                        5. Leave your laptop at home. And your cell phone in your bag. The speakers at TEDxGuelphU merit your full attention, and laptops and cell phones are a big distraction – not just for you, but for everyone around you. To preserve an immersive experience, we don’t allow cell phone use in the auditorium.
                        6. Let us help you. Our staff will do their best to answer any questions and solve any problems, from logistic queries to laptop breakdowns. Pre-conference, contact us via email. On-site, visit our concierge at the registration desk, or ask anyone wearing a Staff badge.
                        7. Share your experience with others. If you plan to blog, take photos, or tweet your heart out, use the hashtag #TEDxGuelphU. Fill the world in on all of the brainwaves and magical moments of your TEDx experience.
